Book Review – The War of Art

The War of Art: Winning the Inner Creative Battle by Steven Pressfield

I love how the author personifies art as a living entity that we maintain a personal relationship with. And just like the people in our lives, the way we treat our art greatly influences how it reciprocates.

My only knock is the title. I find it distasteful to compare anything to war, especially art making. Other than that, the book is near perfection.

It’s only 168 pages, I read the online version during my lunch breaks at work. There’s also an audio version read by the author. It’s worth your time, do it.
